Let's Blog

So, I've been away for quite some time now. Anna just reminded me of blogs in general, she just started one, and I thought I'd do some tapping. I have nothing to do at work today, so why not??

I love holidays. I never really think I appreciated them until I got older. Every year I love them more and more!! I love the fact I get to hang out with my family and do nothing. Just bullshit and play games! It's great! Christmas is right around the corner, and I have to finish up my shopping! I have my a few people left, and I have to try and figure out what to get them..

Lee and I cut down our very first christmas tree!! We went to the farm and picked it out ourselves! Let me tell you, I have learned lots of things after buying that tree.


1. They put the really expensive trees right next to the cheapest trees, to try and trick you!!
2. No tree grows perfectly
3. Putting trees up with your boyfriend may cause some fights
4. Make sure you shake the tree off before bringing it into your condo. (Or else it'll flood it)
5. Pine needles hurt your hands while your stringing the lights!!
6. You need a lot more lights than you may think!
7. The tree holder falls apart if you take the pins out.



It was a great time! I'm so glad we did it! It was a great experience and babe and I got through it without killing eachother!!

AHHHHHH!! The winter storm came!! It was crazy!! I believe we saw 18 inches?? maybe more! I was loving it! Lee and I got stuck in the snow trying to leave our complex. hahahaha There was no turning back once we started down the hill. YIKES! It's ok, after I had to get out of the car and help push him to the main road. hahaha

And we played and we wrapped presents!! It was great!! Now, we just have to get everything pack into the rabbit and drive it home tomorrow!! YAY!! I'm so excited!!

And for my new years resolution... I will be starting to blog more often. :)

The thing is...

My eyes are so sleepy, whenever I go to blink, they refuse to open back up. I don't even know why. I got 7.5 hours of sleep last night!!

My weekend was super! It was our first softball game and Jess brought Bud Lite Lime. YAY! Geoff and Lee played this weekend. But I got pulled aside at the bar and was asked if I could pitch next weekend. Practice is tomorrow at 6pm, and i hope I don't suck too bad.

Geoff, Jess, Lee, and I all went out practicing last week before our first game. My Pitching SUCKED. I don't know what happened. I was GREAT in intramurals at UPJ. I mean.. c'mon! haha Anyway, I hope practice goes better tomorrow.

The first team we played.. just happened to be the sponsor of Anytime Fitness, which would be cool any other day because I love gyms.. haha But the team rolls up with a 12 pack of miller lite and smoking cigarettes out the wazoo. Normally, I'd say that them smoking was a good thing for us..because they wouldn't be able to run for long distances. But you know when you were in 9th grade and all the real cool kids were hanging by the car drinking and smoking and you thought you would never be as cool as them? Yes, that's them. And I instantly felt like I was 14 again, and they were going to trip me or something... They were the definition of intimidating. (Until we went to the bar and started drinking) hahaha

Directly after the game, both teams usually go to the bar and hang out and drink for a few hours. We have this sponsored bar that we get discounts at and can hang there whenever we want!! haha :) It's a restaurant/brewery and they make their own beer! It's pretty good (Not as good as @dogfish head beer... haha) We got a few games going.. Flip Cup and Pong. And Let me tell you!! This was the most fun I've had in Gaithersburg since I moved down here!! We all drank and instantly became best friends!

Then, Lee and I had a bright idea that it would be an excellent idea to go to Ocean City for the night to visit Dale!! BAHAHAHAHA!! So, then we left the bar, went home and backed an overnight bag and headed down to OC. I slept for pretty much the entire way.. I woke up and had the most AMAZING Italian sub as a snack.. then back to sleep. haha But!! When we arrived, I was up and ready to go! So, we started playing a few drinking games at Dale's House. (3-MAAAN!!) and then went to a bar called Brass Balls and played Beer pong with old old ladies!! Dolly was the best, then came Kris. Karen was sweet but I think she was the responsible one on the team... haha Kris kept calling Lee and Dale Fuckers 1 and 2. and Dolly kept dancing promiscuously around the table to try and distract them!! hahahahaha! And we rode our bikes to the bar/back... and that is always a great time! (I slipped and wiped but... but let me tell you, it was graceful!) On the way home, while riding down the boardwalk, I was pinching people's butts that were walking on the boardwalk!! hahahah

Who invented wine??

I've decided that I'm definitely the type of person where their mood depends on the weather.  It stinks.  it's been rainy for the past 3 days, and I've been in hibernation mode ever since.  It's weird.  I just want to drink and sleep.  Granted, I love drinking and sleeping. but what about dinner? Bathing? Exercise? Work?  There's all these things, that I can just do without.

Today, at work, I decided to put my foot down and make the running group to out for a jog today.  All is well, until we get there and it starts thundering and lightning.  GREAT! JUST GREAT!  I ride my brand new bike to work today, have to get a ride home because it's pouring out, and just when I think I've got it all figured out, I have to cook dinner! UGH!

I like white wine.  There's this wine that I just bought, from a californian vinyard.  Barefoot.  I'm sure many people have heard of it, but because I only consume local wine, I haven't.  Before I moved to DC, the only wine I knew of was franzia (my favorite boxed wine).  We used to hold and cradle the fetus. . . . No one will get that unless you're a beneboner. :)

Wine used to give me huge headaches, even after only having one glass.  Now, I drink wine almost nightly.  it's delicious!! Who invented wine??  i would like to congratulate them on their great discovery!!

I hate rain.  I love rain.  but I hate it when I'm dragging people out of their normal routine to go running.  Then, I hate it.  Weather is always working against me.  Today it's raining.  Last week it was too sunny.  Tomorrow it's going to be too humid.  Tuesday it's going to be windy.  It's always something.  I hate that it's always something.  just suck it up and run.  At least you showed up to running... some people don't even make it to the course.  It's not that bad of a course; it's only 0.5 miles around a lake.  A FREAKIN' LAKE!!  I wish I could have had that in pittsburgh.  We only had hills.  and steeper hills.  It was nice in Pittsburgh.  I like the area here better though.  there's more to do.  It's growing on me.  [[Don't tell Lee, he might get mad]]
